Heart of Texas CPCU Society Chapter Scholarship Program – Spring 2016 Semester only (Deadline: November 13)

The Heart of Texas CPCU Society Chapter is pleased to announce the availability of a one-time $1,000 scholarship for a Baylor University or University of Mary Hardin Baylor student. This scholarship opportunity is open to sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students with a major in insurance, risk management, or business. The applicant must have a minimum 2.75 GPA (4.0 scale) and must not be receiving full reimbursement of educational expenses from an external source, such as an employer

GIS Pizza Night

Hi all,

Since we are gaining new GIS members, we would like to celebrate and get to know each other by having a pizza night!

WHO: All current and new GIS members
WHERE: Shorty’s Pizza Shack – 1712 S. 12th St.
WHEN: Thursday, September 17th 5:00-6:00pm

Please let us know if you can come by Monday, September 14th so we can have an idea of how many will be joining. Email me (Melissa Sutton) at melissa_sutton@baylor.edu to RSVP. If you need a ride, please let me know in your email so we can work out a carpool situation.

If you are not currently a member but are planning on joining, membership forms will be sent out within the next few days–please complete them and turn in your membership fee before pizza night if you would like to come!

Gamma Iota Sigma Meeting – Thursday, Sept. 3 from 5:00-6:00 pm in Foster 203

Hi all!

Earlier this week, you expressed interest in Gamma Iota Sigma. See below for more information about our first meeting.

Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) is a professional risk management, insurance, and actuarial science fraternity that is open to students of all majors who are interested in risk management and insurance careers. GIS membership provides access to scholarship opportunities, internship and job opportunities, and opportunities for travel to and networking at industry conferences.

Come join us for the first meeting of the semester! We will hear from Baylor students about their internship experiences this past summer with Goldman Sachs, USAA, and American Modern Insurance Group, as well as discuss plans for the upcoming semester. This is a meeting you certainly won’t want to miss!
