The start date of the Underwriter Trainee program will June 2015 so this would be a great opportunity for May 2015 graduates. The program is a full time/full pay/full benefits position. The training will take place at our corporate office in Austin and will last approximately 14 weeks (Austin lodging paid for by the company during the training). After training, the positions will be located in either Austin, Houston or Dallas. We are looking to hire 6 trainees for the program.

In this role, you will:
· Complete a twelve to fourteen week underwriting training program at our Austin corporate office.
· Underwrite workers’ compensation insurance policies.
· Evaluate applications, analyze risks, and define coverage terms.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with agents and policyholders, delivering excellent customer service.
· Establish appropriate premium rates to further company goals and objectives.
Upon completion of the underwriting training program, you will be located in any one of our offices in the state of Texas: Austin, Dallas or Houston as an Underwriter I. In order to be considered for this position, candidates must be willing to relocate to one of these locations.
The successful candidate must have:
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, insurance, business or finance (preferred). 0-2 years of underwriting experience.
